Karlo Gyldening made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thor Matner in the 3rd minute. Karlo Gyldening showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carsten Jensin, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th match minute, Årby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berthel Mildahl to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Gjesing FC booed when Årby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stephen Munark didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15thth minute of the game Gynther Valmy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gjesing FC's Kurd Elhart was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 20th minute Carsten Jensin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karlo Gyldening saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thor Matner was extremely unlucky when he, in the 22nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Thor Matners short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Karlo Gyldening to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gynther Valmy might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kurd Elhart. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gynther Valmy ran back to his position shaking his head. Årby's Reiner Sarotti got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kurd Elhart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleks Aastradsen in the 39th minute of play. Gynther Valmy kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. If Aleks Aastradsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carsten Jensin made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Gjesing FC's Carsten Jensin got a free kick in the 56th minute. Thor Matner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Karlo Gyldening tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aleks Aastradsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Gjesing FC's goalkeeper Kurd Elhart had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gynther Valmy. In the 72nd minute, Årby's Aleks Aastradsen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kurd Elhart. Kurd Elhart yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Fredrik Vesgaard's late challenge caught a Gjesing FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fredrik Vesgaard helped the player get up and apologised. After 78 played minutes Årby got a freekick which was hit by Fredrik Vesgaard. Karlo Gyldening made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilhelm Bargsteen in the 80th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carsten Jensin during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 81 played minutes Gjesing FC got a freekick which was hit by Carsten Jensin. 84 minutes into the game, Vagn Mohrsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Årby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gjesing FC the free kick. The supporters of Årby booed when Gjesing FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andre Bry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gynther Valmy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Årby's Gynther Valmy got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Årby's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
