Vonsild SIK's Ronni Vesterfjord played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Whyte in the 18th minute of play. Valter Stadfeldt kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Ronni Vesterfjord showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roland Whyte in the 22nd minute of the match. Louie Jægersø who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Roald Monsen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 25th minute Kornelius Følleslev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roald Monsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Louie Jægersø scored 1-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roald Monsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute, Jørn Andsager hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roald Monsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kornelius Følleslev, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Roland Whyte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronni Vesterfjord having to interfere. Roland Whyte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ronni Vesterfjord tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Louie Jægersø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Smørumovre's goal looked a bit too open when Kornelius Følleslev came free, but Roald Monsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonny Baand stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Smørumovre's Jonny Baand got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronni Vesterfjord made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roland Whyte in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Louie Jægersø in the 55th minute of play forced Smørumovre's goalkeeper Roald Monsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Vonsild SIK's Ronni Vesterfjord got control of the ball when Roland Whyte tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Roland Whyte got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vonsild SIK had won after a very even match.
