Thue Skovdam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Morthen Hervang, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Morthen Hervang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thue Skovdam having to interfere. Thue Skovdam stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matthias Solsbæk's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Morthen Hervang in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thue Skovdam saved Brøns from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Brøns's Edgar Trap got a free kick in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Morthen Hervang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thue Skovdam. Brøns's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Morthen Hervang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matthias Solsbæk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tjæreborg were furious when Robert Aagot was red carded, 53 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.
