Kresten Laderriere started the match with the kick off. Isak Rinhart succeeded in the game's 3rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Kresten Laderriere struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Jochum Bukrin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holstebro FC. 12 minutes into the game, Taus Bøjland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vaalse FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Holstebro FC the free kick. In the 12th match minute, Vaalse FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taus Bøjland to maneuver through the defense. Holstebro FC's Kresten Laderriere got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rico Letfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jochum Bukrin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kresten Laderriere, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kresten Laderriere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Isak Rinhart came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Vaalse FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isak Rinhart couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd match minute, Vaalse FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isak Rinhart to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, Vaalse FC's goalkeeper Jochum Bukrin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rico Letfeldt. Isak Rinhart recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jochum Bukrin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kresten Laderriere, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Vaalse FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isak Rinhart was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 52 in the game by Isak Rinhart from a close distance when the talented Bjarke Winhard managed to make a qualified save. Holstebro FC's players were relieved. In the 53rd match minute, Holstebro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Svanhof to maneuver through the defense. Steffen Mormann kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Olaf Vensman, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Holstebro FC's zone, Isak Rinhart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bjarke Winhard came out of the goal and Isak Rinhart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 61 played minutes Vaalse FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulrich Pertl. After some careless play in the Vaalse FC defense, Kresten Laderriere kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jochum Bukrin. The Vaalse FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jochum Bukrin should have stopped the shot. Bjarke Winhard made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Bengt Debel sent off a good shot on target. 70 minutes into the match, Holstebro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Isak Rinhart came free, but Bjarke Winhard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steffen Mormann hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Vaalse FC's Abraham Revald got a free kick in the 77th minute. If Kresten Laderriere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isak Rinhart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Rico Letfeldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holstebro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rico Letfeldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jochum Bukrin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kresten Laderriere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bengt Debel got free with Bjarke Winhard in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
