Spectators: 6550 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Aleks Ekrog took the kick off in the first half of the match. FC ROYAL's Vagnar Dolnæs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jari Engstrom in the 5th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Rørth United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Steen Bolsing fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jari Engstrom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Vagnar Dolnæs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 12 minutes, Aleks Ekrog managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC ROYAL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aleks Ekrog was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jari Engstrom struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Vagnar Dolnæs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rørth United. Rørth United's Calle Achdam got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Rørth United's goalkeeper Ronni Hammerstad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steen Bolsing. Fredrik Hero charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fredrik Hero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Anders Jungquist's shot from long distance in the 25th minute was not bad at all, but Rørth United's Ronni Hammerstad knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Rørth United's Ronni Hammerstad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aleks Ekrog in the 26th minute of play. The Rørth United fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Rørth United's Calle Achdam looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 42nd minute, Calle Achdam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vagnar Dolnæs was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Calle Achdam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vagnar Dolnæs read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The FC ROYAL players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rørth United were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Calle Achdam to make the kick off. Aleks Ekrog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronni Hammerstad having to interfere. Calle Achdam could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Vagnar Dolnæs made a huge save. Vagnar Dolnæs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calle Achdam in the 57th minute of play. Jari Engstrom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rørth United's Calle Achdam in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC ROYAL's goalie prevented a goal. Calle Achdam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Calle Achdam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, FC ROYAL's Vagnar Dolnæs got control of the ball when Jari Engstrom tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 96 minutes, Calle Achdam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rørth United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calle Achdam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Rørth United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC ROYAL throughout the match.
