Rupert Fonneshof showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asbjørn Botved in the 12th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes Gaarestrup SIK got a freekick which was hit by Timm Staubrand. If Felix Ildor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl Eliassen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klement Øxenhave having to interfere. Rupert Fonneshof showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asbjørn Botved in the 25th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Skælskør's goalkeeper Rupert Fonneshof had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gregor Elmersø. If Karl Eliassen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute of the match Niclas Sommerstaedt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rupert Fonneshof showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Felix Ildor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaarestrup SIK's Klement Øxenhave played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Eliassen in the 44th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After having played for 52 minutes, Mario Petring managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gaarestrup SIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Petring was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Asbjørn Botved fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert Fonneshof having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Skælskør's Thejs Kuchler got a free kick in the 54th minute. Skælskør's Rupert Fonneshof played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asbjørn Botved in the 55th minute of play. Rupert Fonneshof made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asbjørn Botved in the 58th minute of play. With a little luck, Gaarestrup SIK's Klement Øxenhave got control of the ball when Felix Ildor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mario Petring scored 1-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rupert Fonneshof, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Karl Eliassen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skælskør's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl Eliassen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klement Øxenhave breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Gaarestrup SIK getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Lennart Odger hit a great ball. Klement Øxenhave stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl Eliassen's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Roger Askholt sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Klement Øxenhave threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Roger Askholt this time. In the 82nd minute, Mario Petring left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gaarestrup SIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Karl Eliassen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klement Øxenhave having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Asbjørn Botved in the 93rd minute of play forced Skælskør's goalkeeper Rupert Fonneshof to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gaarestrup SIK's zone, Felix Ildor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Klement Øxenhave came out of the goal and Felix Ildor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gaarestrup SIK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Skælskør had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
