In the 22nd minute Hemming Sveinsklett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Nilgai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Svindbæk fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Svindbæk's Hemming Sveinsklett looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Niklas Rosler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltazar Nilgai having to interfere. Hemming Sveinsklett blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baltazar Nilgai having to make a save. In the 42nd minute Hemming Sveinsklett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Nilgai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lars Helleby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltazar Nilgai having to interfere. Baltazar Nilgai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hemming Sveinsklett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Svindbæk's Hemming Sveinsklett got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Svindbæk's goal looked a bit too open when Per Borthen came free, but Rikardt Ellehage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Svindbæk's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
