Spectators: 7513 (Terracing: 5635, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ejvin Lykkebæk took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Ib Berrild fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aarhus FC's protests and gave Ib Berrild a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Ib Berrild hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Aarhus FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roland Eliasen was slow to take the kick. During this time Lyngby FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Roland Eliasen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Donald Vrieling quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 10th match minute, Lyngby FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alf Feldmann to maneuver through the defense. Aarhus FC's Donald Vrieling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ejvin Lykkebæk in the 16th minute of play. Rollo Sabbagh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Lyngby FC defense, Rollo Haustad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Salomon Granager. The Lyngby FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salomon Granager should have stopped the shot. Salomon Granager came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Aarhus FC's Rollo Haustad. But to his dismay, Rollo Haustad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The supporters of Aarhus FC booed when Lyngby FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herluf Bardet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rollo Sabbagh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salomon Granager having to interfere. The supporters of Aarhus FC booed when Lyngby FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rainar Virmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Sigvald Gjumose's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Salomon Granager was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Rollo Sabbagh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salomon Granager having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Lyngby FC's goalkeeper Salomon Granager had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Viggo Borbye. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rollo Haustad to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sigvald Gjumose in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Salomon Granager saved Lyngby FC from getting behind. Salomon Granager didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rollo Haustad went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lyngby FC's goalkeeper Salomon Granager, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Salomon Granager stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rollo Haustad's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Rollo Sabbagh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rollo Haustad in the 63rd minute of play forced Lyngby FC's goalkeeper Salomon Granager to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rollo Sabbagh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salomon Granager took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rollo Haustad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rollo Haustad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Lyngby FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Louie Rigfeldt hit a great ball. After 78 minutes of play, Aarhus FC's Rollo Haustad made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Salomon Granager was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rollo Sabbagh scored 6-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Salomon Granager, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 84 played minutes Aarhus FC got a freekick which was hit by Sigvald Gjumose. Reinhard Fovig kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Lyngby FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sigvald Gjumose came free, but Salomon Granager reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute Sigvald Gjumose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salomon Granager saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aarhus FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
