The audience thought a goal was coming when Jon Vetlov got free with Klemens Granell in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Kristof Hollendsted sped through Øksendrup's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nigel Mankjær. Valdemar Klosterborg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nigel Mankjær having to make a save. Hilbert Aspelin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Nigel Mankjær tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
