In the 12th match minute, STARS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vagn Lillholm to maneuver through the defense. Osvald Viran took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcus Torne. STARS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Bob Aebeloe put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Kresten Kromanne. If Bob Aebeloe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcus Torne didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Torkild Bjørnbøg went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind STARS's goalkeeper Marcus Torne, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Torkild Bjørnbøg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Torne having to interfere. If Bob Aebeloe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kresten Kromanne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Bob Aebeloe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Kresten Kromanne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcus Torne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Torkild Bjørnbøg's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. When Muhammad Lovatt fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Åstrup SIK's protests and gave Muhammad Lovatt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd minute, one of Åstrup SIK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Åstrup SIK. In the 75th minute there was a penalty for STARS. Erhard Glensback stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kresten Kromanne. 3-2. Bob Aebeloe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kresten Kromanne read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Kresten Kromanne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Aebeloe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. STARS's Marcus Torne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torkild Bjørnbøg in the 89th minute of play. In the 91stth minute of the game Torkild Bjørnbøg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but STARS's Marcus Torne was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcus Torne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludwig Døi, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 95th minute Bob Aebeloe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kresten Kromanne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. STARS were awarded a corner in the 99th minute after Åstrup SIK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Erhard Glensback took the corner. Åstrup SIK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
