Gerhart Stigfeldt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Mardrup in the 10th minute of play forced Tyrsting's goalkeeper Gerhart Stigfeldt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kent Talmark hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Tyrsting's Robert Dyboe got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 26 played minutes Tyrsting got a freekick which was hit by Folmer Thøgersø. 33 minutes into the match, FC Viborg's Terri Lundov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerhart Stigfeldt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Baltazar Kehlert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Therkel Benved made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Terri Lundov to make the kick off. Vilmar Hesbjerg hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Eli Kert charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Dan Rambov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Therkel Benved tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 60 minutes, Fred Mardrup managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Viborg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Mardrup was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of FC Viborg booed when Tyrsting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teddy Tullberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Terri Lundov notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tyrsting's Gerhart Stigfeldt. Gerhart Stigfeldt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kent Talmark hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Fred Mardrups short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Gerhart Stigfeldt to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Viborg eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
