The audience was convinced that Therkel Jangel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Linus Grænge was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Ettrup's Linus Grænge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaus Nørresteller in the 6th minute of play. Adolf Akselvad was a little too slow when Ricard Nørrehammer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. Gerhard Turban blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adolf Akselvad having to make a save. Adolf Akselvad made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Gerhard Turban sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 29 minutes, Gerhard Turban managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ettrup's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerhard Turban was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Curt Dohm took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Linus Grænge. Ettrup's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 35th minute Therkel Jangel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Linus Grænge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Therkel Jangel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Ettrup defense, Therkel Jangel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Linus Grænge. The Ettrup fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Linus Grænge should have stopped the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricard Nørrehammer to make the kick off. Therkel Jangel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Linus Grænge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolf Akselvad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricard Nørrehammer in the 68th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ettrup's goalkeeper Linus Grænge, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Holløse's Fillip Majbrink got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Linus Grænge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klaus Nørresteller, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Arne Baunbæk kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. If Klaus Nørresteller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. In the 95th minute, one of Holløse:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Holløse. Holløse:s Adolf Akselvad showed great skill when he stopped Gotfred Gjerløw:s penalty.
