In the 14th minute, one of Brønderslev:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Brønderslev. 18 minutes into the match, Brønderslev's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Lerrig came free, but Tommy Haslauer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timm Simpson might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nikki Roesdahl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Timm Simpson ran back to his position shaking his head. Vilmar Timmerby could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Nikki Roesdahl made a huge save. Søren Balgaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Nikki Roesdahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Haslauer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Lerrig, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Timm Simpson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommy Haslauer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Lerrig, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Matias Berghof threw the ball into play from the sideline. Brønderslev's Rene Gjørsig quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Brønderslev's Tommy Haslauer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurits Erhøj in the 40th minute of play. Tommy Haslauer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Lerrig went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustaf Holbækker during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gustaf Holbækker hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

Vilmar Timmerby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikki Roesdahl having to interfere. Brønderslev's Søren Balgaard couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for strandby fc. Luis Lerrig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Haslauer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurits Erhøj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Brønderslev's goalkeeper Tommy Haslauer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Lerrig. The supporters of Brønderslev booed when strandby fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurits Erhøj didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Søren Balgaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Haslauer came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by strandby fc's Maurits Erhøj. But to his dismay, Maurits Erhøj quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 81 minutes of play, strandby fc's Maurits Erhøj made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Haslauer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maurits Erhøj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luis Lerrig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
