When Åge Fernandez came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the FC Hvidovre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Åge Fernandez couldn't finish the play. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Skadebak's goalkeeper Bert Østerdal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With 16 minutes on the clock, Reiner Didrichsen commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 16 minutes into the game, one of FC Hvidovre:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for Skadebak. Dani Fossheim stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Halfdan Fejring. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eberhardt Strandholt in the 23rd minute of play forced FC Hvidovre's goalkeeper Halfdan Fejring to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Åge Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eberhardt Strandholt made a kick off. Åge Fernandez took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bert Østerdal. Bert Østerdal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Skadebak's Bert Østerdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karljohan Norvin in the 56th minute of play. If Karljohan Norvin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 minutes, Karljohan Norvin made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Skadebak's Bert Østerdal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karljohan Norvin in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bert Østerdal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 64 minutes, Åge Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Hvidovre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Åge Fernandez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Eberhardt Strandholt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Halfdan Fejring. That made the score 3-2 in the 72 minute of play. Dani Fossheim took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Halfdan Fejring. FC Hvidovre's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jimmi Bachke's late challenge caught a FC Hvidovre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jimmi Bachke helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute, Jimmi Bachke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bert Østerdal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karljohan Norvin in the 79th minute of the match. Bert Østerdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Åge Fernandez in the 87th minute of play. Halfdan Fejring took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eberhardt Strandholt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Asgar Solbirk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skadebak's supporters rose to their feet, but Asgar Solbirk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Halfdan Fejring breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that FC Hvidovre were the better team. FC Hvidovre's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
