The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Niklaes Palmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Jørdahl having to interfere. Claus Unschuld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berndt Bregenov succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 8th playminute. Birger Jørdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claus Unschuld in the 17th minute of play. Hektor Gejl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boris Skovengaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boris Skovengaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Hektor Gejl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hektor Gejl made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Berndt Bregenov sent off a good shot on target. When Marcos Bennum fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bredstruplund's protests and gave Marcos Bennum a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bredstruplund getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Marcos Bennum hit a great ball. Nicklas Lynskud hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Berndt Bregenov got free with Hektor Gejl in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Wycombe Wanderers's Hektor Gejl threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Boris Skovengaard, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

After a rather tough play, Bredstruplund's Øjvind Lantz got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Wycombe Wanderers booed when Bredstruplund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Øjvind Lantz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 55 played minutes, Wycombe Wanderers's Frederick Stovesberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hektor Gejl came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Wycombe Wanderers reached it. After 58 minutes, Heinrich Gedby mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wycombe Wanderers and the Bredstruplund players grew even worse after the yellow card. Heinrich Gedby hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute Boris Skovengaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hektor Gejl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berndt Bregenov in the 64th minute of play forced Bredstruplund's goalkeeper Hektor Gejl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claus Unschuld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Jørdahl having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Wycombe Wanderers's zone, Claus Unschuld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Birger Jørdahl came out of the goal and Claus Unschuld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the match, Bredstruplund's goal looked a bit too open when Berndt Bregenov came free, but Hektor Gejl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute of the match, Claus Unschuld tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Birger Jørdahl saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 83rd minute of the match Bredstruplund got a corner. Wycombe Wanderers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Niklaes Palmann ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Claus Unschuld heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Claus Unschuld came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Bredstruplund fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claus Unschuld couldn't finish the play. Nicklas Lynskud recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Berndt Bregenov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wycombe Wanderers's goalkeeper Birger Jørdahl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
