In the 19th minute, Jan Blangstrup got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ebbe Kesje recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gordon Herbing didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ebbe Kesje went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Grasshopperne's Ebbe Kesje got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 41 played minutes, Gadbjerg SIK's Milton Makenhauer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gabriel Hyllen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gadbjerg SIK reached it. Gordon Herbing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Blangstrup, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lars Truesen was the one to do the kick off. Gordon Herbing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ebbe Kesje in the 79th minute of the match. Gordon Herbing was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jan Blangstrup showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 80 minute of play. Jan Blangstrups short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Gordon Herbing to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ebbe Kesje sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee gave Gadbjerg SIK a penalty, 97 minutes into the game. Grasshopperne's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
