When Reinhardt Bjørumslet fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ALPHAXIFC's protests and gave Reinhardt Bjørumslet a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Reinhardt Bjørumslet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vagn Kirkebjerg might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ariel Alken. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. ALPHAXIFC's Tony Vandkjær played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steffen Motner in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Frans Kølben made a precise shot to the right of Ariel Alken. Helsned's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Ariel Alken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vagn Kirkebjerg in the 41st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Steffen Motner took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Tony Vandkjær to make any attempt to save it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Steffen Motner was the one to do the kick off. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ALPHAXIFC reached it. Vagn Kirkebjerg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Ariel Alken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Frans Kølben had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. Vagn Kirkebjerg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ariel Alken read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Frans Kølben managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ALPHAXIFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frans Kølben was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ALPHAXIFC's Vagn Kirkebjerg got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Frans Kølben dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ariel Alken, 1-2. When the match was over ALPHAXIFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Helsned throughout the match.
