An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernst Kjærvang in the 15th minute of play forced Galaxy United FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Grøftebjerg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Splash AC were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Galaxy United FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Waldemar Vrejlev took the corner. Kenneth Grøftebjerg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thue Varmdorf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 minutes of play, Splash AC's Thue Varmdorf made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thue Varmdorf to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thue Varmdorf got free with Kenneth Grøftebjerg in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ernst Kjærvang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Splash AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernst Kjærvang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenneth Grøftebjerg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Splash AC played a much better game than Galaxy United FC and deserved their victory. The Galaxy United FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
