Kenneth Grøftebjerg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 6 minutes into the match, Team Boukalele's goal looked a bit too open when Amdi Rylinger came free, but Kjeld Rylov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kenneth Grøftebjerg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per Greenvik, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Egil Genild recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st match minute, Team Boukalele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bjarne Amkær to maneuver through the defense. After 23 played minutes Galaxy United FC got a freekick which was hit by Sigurd Almblad. After 27 minutes, Nikki Højrup mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galaxy United FC and the Team Boukalele players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Galaxy United FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Nikki Højrup hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Galaxy United FC's zone, Per Greenvik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenneth Grøftebjerg came out of the goal and Per Greenvik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, Galaxy United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Per Greenvik came free, but Kenneth Grøftebjerg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulrick Fogelstrøm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Team Boukalele's zone, Egil Genild stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kjeld Rylov came out of the goal and Egil Genild tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Sigurd Almblad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egil Genild in the 37th minute of play forced Team Boukalele's goalkeeper Kjeld Rylov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Team Boukalele's Per Greenvik ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kenneth Grøftebjerg. Kenneth Grøftebjerg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 45th minute, Amdi Rylinger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

If Amdi Rylinger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per Greenvik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth Grøftebjerg having to interfere. In the 58th minute Egil Genild shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjeld Rylov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Egil Genild recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kjeld Rylov. Egil Genild showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. 62 minutes into the match, Team Boukalele's goal looked a bit too open when Egil Genild came free, but Kjeld Rylov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Galaxy United FC's Kenneth Grøftebjerg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svenåge Vesselfeldt in the 63rd minute of play. Kenneth Grøftebjerg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dick Folsby, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Tom Hvannastein managed to get in a good position for a shot. Team Boukalele's supporters rose to their feet, but Tom Hvannastein was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenneth Grøftebjerg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 80 minutes into the game, Galaxy United FC's Ulrick Fogelstrøm nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
