Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Esben Nilander got the match started through his kick off. Ivar Tangsted could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Franz Ellemand made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Stefan Sandergaard kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Franz Ellemand. That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. Franz Ellemand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Volmer Dangreen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Volmer Dangreen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franz Ellemand read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Andre Sauvr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Konrad Aulbjerg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esben Nilander charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Esben Nilander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th minute, Esben Nilander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gunner Modan's late challenge caught a Mariager IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gunner Modan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mariager IF booed when Kongstrup AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunner Modan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kongstrup AC's zone, Andre Sauvr stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Konrad Aulbjerg came out of the goal and Andre Sauvr tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute, Ivar Tangsted hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Stefan Sandergaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franz Ellemand was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. After 28 minutes of play, Mariager IF's Al Skarborg made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Konrad Aulbjerg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eskil Bastheim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Konrad Aulbjerg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Konrad Aulbjerg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asker Parming in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kongstrup AC's Volmer Dangreen got a free kick in the 36th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Kongstrup AC's goal looked a bit too open when Esben Nilander came free, but Konrad Aulbjerg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 played minutes Mariager IF got a freekick which was hit by Al Skarborg. When Stefan Sandergaard came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Kongstrup AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Sandergaard couldn't finish the play. Ivar Tangsted's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Franz Ellemand firmly grabbed it by the left post. Andre Sauvr kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stefan Sandergaard made a kick off. Stefan Sandergaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Sandergaard in the 54th minute of play forced Mariager IF's goalkeeper Franz Ellemand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Volmer Dangreen scored 2-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franz Ellemand, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Konrad Aulbjerg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asker Parming in the 66th minute of the match.
