Spectators: 7933 (Terracing: 5995, Seating: 1838, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zenit's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience was convinced that Vagn Mandøe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bjarke Bahrendorff was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. In the 12th minute Asbjørn Benved shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bjarke Bahrendorff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vagn Mandøe in the 21st minute of play forced Zenit's goalkeeper Bjarke Bahrendorff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Ricardo Permin in the 24th minute really tested Detlef Guldhjem's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 27th minute Asbjørn Benved shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bjarke Bahrendorff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vagn Mandøe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 33 minutes of play, Hero's Vagn Mandøe made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bjarke Bahrendorff was left in no man's land by his defense there! 36 minutes into the match, Zenit's goal looked a bit too open when Vagn Mandøe came free, but Bjarke Bahrendorff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Asbjørn Benved in the 38th minute of play forced Zenit's goalkeeper Bjarke Bahrendorff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Asbjørn Benved had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vagn Mandøe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Bjarke Bahrendorff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Terkil Nylund made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Hero's goal looked a bit too open when Ernst Karlsvogn came free, but Detlef Guldhjem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th match minute, Zenit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kim Klintsø to maneuver through the defense. Vagn Mandøe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Asbjørn Benved in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. Bjarke Bahrendorff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Asbjørn Benved had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. With a little luck, Zenit's Bjarke Bahrendorff got control of the ball when Vagn Mandøe tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84th minute, Ricardo Permin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zenit succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Hero had controlled the match.
