In the 8thth minute of the game Vagn Mandøe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Odense Boldklub's Sven Randborg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 9 played minutes Odense Boldklub got a freekick which was hit by Frands Djurø. Sven Randborg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vagn Mandøe went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Hero's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Terkild Mosbech 17 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Asbjørn Benved scored 1-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sven Randborg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Odense Boldklub booed when Hero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hektor Techen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Asbjørn Benved shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven Randborg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 played minutes Odense Boldklub got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Vinterly. Sven Randborg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asbjørn Benved in the 33rd minute of play. Odense Boldklub's Sven Randborg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hektor Techen in the 37th minute of play. Frands Djurø kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 40 minutes into the game, when Eberhardt Jermiin put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Odense Boldklub getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Eberhardt Jermiin hit a great ball. Sven Randborg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Asbjørn Benved's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After 43 played minutes Odense Boldklub got a freekick which was hit by Frands Djurø. Sven Randborg came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Hero's Hektor Techen. But to his dismay, Hektor Techen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3.

Rupert Glitzky took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven Randborg. Sven Randborg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Edvardt Hartstein hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 59th match minute, Odense Boldklub was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Vinterly to maneuver through the defense. Hero's Detlef Guldhjem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Acosta in the 63rd minute of play. Sven Randborg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rupert Glitzky, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Joachim Acosta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Detlef Guldhjem having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Odense Boldklub's goalkeeper Sven Randborg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hektor Techen. After having played for 77 minutes, Asbjørn Benved managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Asbjørn Benved was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vagn Mandøe's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sven Randborg firmly grabbed it by the left post. 86 minutes into the match, Odense Boldklub's goalkeeper Sven Randborg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vagn Mandøe. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kris Sønningsen during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th minute, Kris Sønningsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Detlef Guldhjem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Acosta, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When the match was over Hero could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Odense Boldklub throughout the match.
