After 13 minutes of play, FC Curling's Ejvind Emb made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kenneth Lomaklett was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt Andreil in the 17th minute of play forced Ibsted's goalkeeper Kenneth Lomaklett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kenneth Lomaklett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Micky Spalk in the 42nd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Ted Mængler made the kick off in the second half. If Ted Mængler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. Ibsted's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Richard Sefeld was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ibsted's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Curling the free kick. After 72 played minutes Ibsted got a freekick which was hit by Kornelius Wollnik. When Ted Mængler came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Ibsted fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ted Mængler couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Ibsted's Kenneth Lomaklett got control of the ball when Bengt Andreil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kenneth Lomaklett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Sefeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Micky Spalk got free with Kenneth Lomaklett in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
