After 6 minutes, Mathias Mørkehøj mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vordingborg FV and the FC Nordsjælland players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 6 played minutes Vordingborg FV got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Mørkehøj. Sindre Walle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Paulo Vejers made a huge save. 1-0 became the score in the 19th minute when Sindre Walle elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Sindre Walle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Sindre Walle managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Nordsjælland's supporters rose to their feet, but Sindre Walle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Vejers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Dimitar Berbatov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, FC Nordsjælland's Paulo Vejers threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dimitar Berbatov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Sindre Walle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dimitar Berbatov had several of the Vordingborg FV's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 33 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Paulo Vejers as he didn't even see the shot coming. FC Nordsjælland's Dimitar Berbatov got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sindre Walle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dimitar Berbatov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Paulo Vejers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vordingborg FV's goalkeeper Paulo Vejers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Yulian Kichukov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

FC Nordsjælland's Benjamin Nygren was substituted for Sindre Walle. The wind increased when Valder Stormbach made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Vordingborg FV defense, Dimitar Berbatov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Vejers. The Vordingborg FV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Vejers should have stopped the shot. Paulo Vejers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Nygren, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 64th play minutes Benjamin Nygren shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Paulo Vejers and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valder Stormbach in the 69th minute of play forced FC Nordsjælland's goalkeeper Andreas Hansen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Vejers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Nygren, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After having played for 82 minutes, Benjamin Nygren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Nordsjælland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Nygren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulo Vejers came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Nordsjælland's Dimitar Berbatov. But to his dismay, Dimitar Berbatov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Benjamin Nygren took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Vejers. Paulo Vejers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. 94 minutes into the game, FC Nordsjælland's Benjamin Nygren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Vejers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Nordsjælland fully deserved thier win.
