Simon Rabensteen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Owe Bernig in the 10th minute of the match. In the 13thth minute of the game Tue Parslet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mågerne's Christopher Korting was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 17 minutes of play, Mågerne's Owe Bernig made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simon Rabensteen was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Kerteminde Boldklub getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Tue Parslet hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Kenneth Kizlich got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Kenneth Kizlich's late challenge caught a Mågerne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenneth Kizlich helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st minute, Kenneth Kizlich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christopher Korting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tue Parslet in the 34th minute of play. If Erik Horsum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tue Parslet to make the kick off. Christopher Korting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Granning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Mågerne's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Granning came free, but Christopher Korting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kerteminde Boldklub's Haakon Haarbøl was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Christopher Korting in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Reinhard Imdrup's late challenge caught a Kerteminde Boldklub's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reinhard Imdrup helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute Tue Parslet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Korting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tue Parslet in the 74th minute of play forced Mågerne's goalkeeper Christopher Korting to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christopher Korting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Granning in the 80th minute of play. Christopher Korting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenneth Kizlich, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 95 minutes into the game, Caspar Sieborg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mågerne's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kerteminde Boldklub the free kick. After 95 played minutes Mågerne got a freekick which was hit by Caspar Sieborg. In the 96th minute, Haakon Haarbøl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
