Taus Brønfort started the match with the kick off. Micael Spangslund made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Joakim Twietmeyer sent off a good shot on target. Micael Spangslund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kevin Bramvig's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bendt Klausholm in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nikolas Sandkær prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 21st minute, Herman Meyring hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Runners Mafia's Herman Meyring got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Kevin Bramvig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Micael Spangslund having to make a save. 24 minutes into the game, Kevin Bramvig recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Micael Spangslund. Kevin Bramvig showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Depeche Mode's Taus Brønfort was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 28th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Niko Børsum received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Micael Spangslund came out and tried to block the shot, but Niko Børsum slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 31st minute. Micael Spangslund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taus Brønfort in the 45th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joakim Twietmeyer got free with Micael Spangslund in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bendt Klausholm stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joakim Twietmeyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Micael Spangslund having to interfere. If Bendt Klausholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Micael Spangslund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Bramvig, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Therkil Mackenzie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Depeche Mode's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Runners Mafia the free kick. Therkil Mackenzie hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Runners Mafia's Bendt Klausholm couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 60th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Depeche Mode. 65 minutes into the match, Runners Mafia's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Bramvig came free, but Micael Spangslund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Joakim Twietmeyer notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Runners Mafia's Micael Spangslund. Micael Spangslund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Calle Brandsdorf's late challenge caught a Runners Mafia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Calle Brandsdorf helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 70 minutes, Dirch Nyegaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Runners Mafia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dirch Nyegaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 71 minutes of play, Depeche Mode's Kevin Bramvig made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Micael Spangslund was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dirch Nyegaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nikolas Sandkær showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bendt Klausholm in the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th minute of the match Runners Mafia got a corner. Depeche Mode's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bendt Klausholm ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Herman Meyring managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 94th minute, Wiktor Durlev fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 96th minute Taus Brønfort shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Micael Spangslund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
