In the 6th minute Filip Klebajn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rico Balsved saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Adam Hailand dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Erling Jeilman, 1-0. The HB Køge fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when HB Køge's Adam Hailand looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fabian Huttemeier charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 39th minute, Gerdt Alenkjær got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 40 played minutes HB Køge got a freekick which was hit by Lenny Balstrøm. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denis Schubring during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th match minute, FC Drik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Schubring to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Adam Hailand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of FC Drik booed when HB Køge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrik Funderskov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Adam Hailand ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erling Jeilman was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The audience was convinced that Adam Hailand's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erling Jeilman was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. HB Køge's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
