Balthasar Trip showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionisio Nesto in the 10th minute of the match. Balthasar Trip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakob Alberg in the 13th minute of play. Luis Bonet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnold Steward read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. When Raimundo Obano came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Strandhusene FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimundo Obano couldn't finish the play. After 21st play minutes Ed Seinstra shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Arnold Steward and just under the crossbar into goal. Luis Bonet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnold Steward having to interfere. In the 31st minute Tuur Huijbrechts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balthasar Trip saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Bonet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Arnold Steward tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Bonet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Balthasar Trip took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakob Alberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Balthasar Trip showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tuur Huijbrechts, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. A collision led to FC Duck-Net getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Asker Stube hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luis Bonet was the one to do the kick off. Luis Bonet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnold Steward having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Duck-Net's zone, Luis Bonet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnold Steward came out of the goal and Luis Bonet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Duck-Net's goalkeeper Arnold Steward, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Duck-Net's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luis Bonet was slow to take the kick. During this time Strandhusene FC's players had a chance to rest. When Laurits Krummel fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Duck-Net's protests and gave Laurits Krummel a yellow card for diving instead. Laurits Krummel kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Obano in the 64th minute of play forced FC Duck-Net's goalkeeper Arnold Steward to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Strandhusene FC were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after FC Duck-Net's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luis Bonet took the corner. Arnold Steward showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Bonet in the 71st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Bonet in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnold Steward prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Bonet in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnold Steward saved FC Duck-Net from getting behind. In the 75th minute, Ruben Depoorter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute of the match Luis Bonet sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnold Steward skillfully saved the ball. Ruben Depoorter's late challenge caught a Strandhusene FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 89th minute of the match Strandhusene FC got a corner. FC Duck-Net's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Miki Jungslund ran over to the corner to take the kick. Arnold Steward took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ed Seinstra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97thth minute of the game Saverio Niva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Duck-Net's Arnold Steward was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC Duck-Net's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
