Thanks to some nice moves Eberhardt Ørsbo could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Jørn Bøllund however easily saved by the left post. After some careless play in the Stendis FC defense, Eberhardt Ørsbo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jørn Bøllund. The Stendis FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jørn Bøllund should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Stendis FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Helge Skonnemose hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Stendis FC's Ove Branshøj got a free kick in the 35th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Thorlejf Arneskov managed to get in a good position for a shot. YNWA's supporters rose to their feet, but Thorlejf Arneskov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jørn Bøllund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee ignored Stendis FC's protests and gave Helge Skonnemose a yellow card for diving instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henry Frydkjær stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
