After a rather tough play, Hvidsten's Chineze Sunal got a free kick in the 3rd minute. If Marcos Engemose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dirk Vilby made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nigel Darlet in the 10th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nigel Darlet got free with Dirk Vilby in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 10 played minutes Hvidsten got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Engemose. In the 14th minute Jozef Riisman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederik Hylsebeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frederik Hylsebeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Qwinton, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Frantz Beckenbauer hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Mauricio Qwinton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frederik Hylsebeck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Qwinton in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Refstrup's goalkeeper Frederik Hylsebeck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Marcos Engemose got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Frederik Hylsebeck quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Refstrup's Frederik Hylsebeck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Owe Simmelkiær in the 42nd minute of play. If Marcos Engemose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jørgen Peick stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Mauricio Qwinton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Refstrup's Frederik Hylsebeck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 55 minutes into the game, Bobby Søndermand cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dirk Vilby was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dirk Vilby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jørgen Peick in the 59th minute of play. Frederik Hylsebeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Owe Simmelkiær in the 63rd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Refstrup's goalkeeper Frederik Hylsebeck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jozef Riisman. Owe Simmelkiær hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute Jørgen Peick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirk Vilby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tonny Enander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Dirk Vilby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Owe Simmelkiær recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute Tonny Enander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirk Vilby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frederik Hylsebeck was a little too slow when Owe Simmelkiær got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 1-1. The Hvidsten players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Refstrup from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
