Frederik Hylsebeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lin Lang Bang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bertel Foltmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nigel Darlet in the 14th minute. Tonny Enander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertel Foltmann having to interfere. In the 18th minute Absalon Aabaand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederik Hylsebeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 played minutes Refstrup got a freekick which was hit by Valther Bruuse. Frederik Hylsebeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Absalon Aabaand, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Skovbølling's Bertel Foltmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nigel Darlet in the 28th minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, Frede Raundorf cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Frederik Hylsebeck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bertel Foltmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tonny Enander in the 34th minute. The supporters of Skovbølling booed when Refstrup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valther Bruuse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frede Raundorf in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frederik Hylsebeck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bertel Foltmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jørgen Peick in the 46th minute of the match. After the first half Skovbølling were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jørgen Peick made a kick off. Bertel Foltmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bobby Søndermand in the 51st minute of the match. Bertel Foltmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nigel Darlet in the 52nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Paw Carbac managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skovbølling's supporters rose to their feet, but Paw Carbac was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frederik Hylsebeck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bertel Foltmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jørgen Peick in the 56th minute of play. With 57 minutes on the clock, Bernhard Vonnø commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After having played for 62 minutes, Paw Carbac managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skovbølling's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paw Carbac was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Absalon Aabaand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Absalon Aabaand could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Frederik Hylsebeck made a huge save. Refstrup made a substitution. Klaus Kønigsfeldt replaced Valther Bruuse. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Refstrup's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Paw Carbac was slow to take the kick. During this time Skovbølling's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Ivan Nielsen advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-2 in the 73rd minute. Fred Melchiorsen hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Skovbølling were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Refstrup's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Paw Carbac took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Vinzent Dumong heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After having played for 89 minutes, Lin Lang Bang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skovbølling's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lin Lang Bang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
