In the 42nd minute, Egernføde Boldklub's Ferdinand Rosenvad ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sophus Richert. Sophus Richert yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When Svenne Præstiin fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nyrup's protests and gave Svenne Præstiin a yellow card for diving instead. Svenne Præstiin hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Nyrup's zone, Ferdinand Rosenvad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sophus Richert came out of the goal and Ferdinand Rosenvad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vilfred Degener made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Vallersted in the 64th minute of play. In the 68th minute Sílvio Scherer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilfred Degener saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Egernføde Boldklub booed when Nyrup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Fosgaard didn't get a good kick on the ball.
