Donato Bordon made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Mickey Udsholt sent off a good shot on target. If Ib Dalsted had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pelle Hvidegaard in the 27th minute of play forced Sillerslev SIK's goalkeeper Allan Dannervig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Esbjerg fB's Ib Dalsted got a free kick in the 30th minute. Donato Bordon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerhart Badeby, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Allan Dannervig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 庞辉响 in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Pelle Hvidegaard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esbjerg fB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 67th minute, 庞辉响 made a precise shot to the right of Allan Dannervig. Sillerslev SIK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3.
