Hansjörg Heinsch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björn Elmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Thundorf FC's Hansjörg Heinsch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xerxes Bremer in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Björn Elmer in the 19th minute of play forced Thundorf FC's goalkeeper Hansjörg Heinsch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thundorf FC's Hansjörg Heinsch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Björn Elmer in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Juventus Osnabrück booed when Thundorf FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Odo Gehling didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Thundorf FC's Jakov Alzen tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Björn Elmer took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hansjörg Heinsch. Hansjörg Heinsch dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After having played for 44 minutes, Xerxes Bremer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juventus Osnabrück's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xerxes Bremer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Torsten Brazol's late challenge caught a Juventus Osnabrück's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torsten Brazol helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th match minute, Thundorf FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torsten Brazol to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Niko Pelzer to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Guido Kick's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Radim Lufen was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Xerxes Bremer might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hansjörg Heinsch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xerxes Bremer ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77thth minute of the game Xerxes Bremer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thundorf FC's Hansjörg Heinsch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hansjörg Heinsch was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Björn Elmer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 79 minute of play. In the 81st minute, Sylvio Schaffer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Thundorf FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Juventus Osnabrück were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
