An unexpectedly hard shot by Willi Wiese in the 9th minute of play forced SG Bernem Frankfurt's goalkeeper Erwin Riegert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jörgen Buchholz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erwin Riegert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Bastian Pförtner hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. When Rodolfo Gurr came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Kreuzriehe FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Gurr couldn't finish the play. Willi Wiese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Jörgen Buchholz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erwin Riegert was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Steven Klingen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kreuzriehe FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Steven Klingen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erwin Riegert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jörgen Buchholz in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erwin Riegert prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulrich Eickhoff to make the kick off. Erwin Riegert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörgen Buchholz in the 54th minute of the match. SG Bernem Frankfurt's Erwin Riegert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Gurr in the 56th minute of play. Steven Klingen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erwin Riegert having to interfere. Steven Klingen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erwin Riegert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörgen Buchholz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ben Croll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Erwin Riegert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jörgen Buchholz went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind SG Bernem Frankfurt's goalkeeper Erwin Riegert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulrich Eickhoff during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SG Bernem Frankfurt's Ulrich Eickhoff got a free kick in the 75th minute. Rodolfo Gurr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erwin Riegert having to interfere. Erwin Riegert came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Kreuzriehe FSV's Steven Klingen. But to his dismay, Steven Klingen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Jörgen Buchholz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Erwin Riegert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kreuzriehe FSV's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
