Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niko Müller in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elmar Wöllner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Born FC's Elmar Wöllner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Born FC from getting a goal against them. When Niko Müller came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Degermenci fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niko Müller couldn't finish the play. If Niko Müller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Siewert in the 13th minute of play forced Degermenci's goalkeeper Damir Balter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francesco Siewert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Damir Balter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damir Balter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Siewert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francesco Siewert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damir Balter having to interfere. After having played for 26 minutes, Nikolaus Beer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Degermenci's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikolaus Beer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Born FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Alfons Droste hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Siewert in the 29th minute of play forced Degermenci's goalkeeper Damir Balter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Degermenci's Damir Balter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Botho Bechtle in the 38th minute of play. Nikolaus Beer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Elmar Wöllner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francesco Siewert made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Nikolaus Beer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elmar Wöllner. Born FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nikolaus Beer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Botho Bechtle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Damir Balter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Botho Bechtle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Degermenci's zone, Francesco Siewert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damir Balter came out of the goal and Francesco Siewert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Botho Bechtle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francesco Siewert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Damir Balter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Born FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Degermenci.
