Ole Harpain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Brick in the 4th minute of the match. Wolfgang Ellermann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 8 minutes into the game, Evert Kruck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Berlin 68's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave HasenJümmel the free kick. In the 8th minute, one of FC Berlin 68:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Berlin 68. The score was 1-0 after a penalty in the 9th minute, where HasenJümmel:s Moritz Bansemir tricked FC Berlin 68:s Billy Gudat with a difficult ball by the left post. After having played for 13 minutes, Benjamin Brick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Berlin 68's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Brick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the HasenJümmel defense, Eckart Brennecke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ole Harpain. The HasenJümmel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ole Harpain should have stopped the shot. Billy Gudat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolfgang Ellermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Benjamin Brick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ole Stöhr during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 27 played minutes HasenJümmel got a freekick which was hit by Ole Stöhr. In the 30th minute Wolfgang Ellermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Billy Gudat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 minutes of play FC Berlin 68's Evert Kruck was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Berlin 68 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Billy Gudat, was totally fooled by HasenJümmel's Moritz Bansemir, who 34 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Marc Koller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Berlin 68! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wolfgang Ellermann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Berlin 68's Billy Gudat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Koller in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Berlin 68's Rudolf Kiesel got a free kick in the 54th minute. Marc Koller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Peter Kreuels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Moritz Bansemir sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Berlin 68's Billy Gudat didn't even have to move. 62 minutes into the game, HasenJümmel's Marc Koller nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Billy Gudat made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. In the 67th match minute, HasenJümmel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ole Stöhr to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to FC Berlin 68 getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Rudolf Kiesel hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Wolfgang Ellermann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Billy Gudat was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Billy Gudat stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wolfgang Ellermann's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Marc Koller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Billy Gudat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marc Koller might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Billy Gudat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marc Koller ran back to his position shaking his head. When HasenJümmel's Marc Koller in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The HasenJümmel fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Berlin 68 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
