Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Günter Wittkamp made the kick off and thus started the match. The Brandscheid fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Brandscheid's Ernst Gabler looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 16 minutes, Ernst Gabler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brandscheid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernst Gabler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, FC Invincible Rimbach's goalkeeper Thorben Eiffel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernst Gabler. Ennio Stossun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Thorben Eiffel made a huge save. Thorben Eiffel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernst Gabler, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Günter Wittkamp cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Erno Ehrhoff was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Invincible Rimbach's Thorben Eiffel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernst Gabler in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, FC Invincible Rimbach's goal looked a bit too open when Tobi Volkmann came free, but Thorben Eiffel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ernst Gabler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thorben Eiffel was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 38th minute Ernst Gabler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thorben Eiffel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Günter Wittkamp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erno Ehrhoff. Brandscheid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Günter Wittkamp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Brandscheid's Ernst Gabler got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute of the match, Ernst Gabler tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thorben Eiffel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernst Gabler made a kick off. The Brandscheid fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Brandscheid's Ernst Gabler looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 55 minutes into the match, Brandscheid's Ernst Gabler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thorben Eiffel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Ernst Gabler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thorben Eiffel was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Thorben Eiffel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jochen Lehmkuhl in the 63rd minute of play. Harald Barten took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thorben Eiffel. FC Invincible Rimbach's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of FC Invincible Rimbach booed when Brandscheid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Thelen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernst Gabler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ennio Stossun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, Brandscheid's Ernst Gabler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thorben Eiffel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-2. Ernst Gabler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Thorben Eiffel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thorben Eiffel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthias Keuerleber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tobi Volkmann came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Brandscheid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobi Volkmann couldn't finish the play. 94 minutes into the match, FC Invincible Rimbach's goal looked a bit too open when Ernst Gabler came free, but Thorben Eiffel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Brandscheid players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
