Spectators: 6600 (Terracing: 5600, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fridun Gallois made the kick off and thus started the match. FC Schalke 04's Tilmann Finck got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tolek Bochinskis short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Frank Szczepanowski to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Frank Szczepanowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tolek Bochinski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Szczepanowski came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by MELIKGAZI's Zlatan Kühlert. But to his dismay, Zlatan Kühlert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Frank Szczepanowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tolek Bochinski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th match minute, FC Schalke 04 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nepomuk Sauk to maneuver through the defense. Fabian Laudi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. MELIKGAZI's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Tolek Bochinski did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Frank Szczepanowski 22 minutes into the match. After 26 played minutes MELIKGAZI got a freekick which was hit by Hieronim Tyskie. In the 27th minute of the match Lennard Lilleike shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pascal Rompel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Frank Szczepanowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zlatan Kühlert in the 31st minute of play. FC Schalke 04's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fabian Laudi 40 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. Heiko Schimmel's late challenge caught a MELIKGAZI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Heiko Schimmel helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Schalke 04 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave MELIKGAZI a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nico Buschle, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Schalke 04's Frank Szczepanowski. 4-0.

Fabian Laudi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Szczepanowski having to interfere. Pascal Rompel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fridun Gallois, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Douglas Nass hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Laudi in the 70th minute of play forced FC Schalke 04's goalkeeper Frank Szczepanowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MELIKGAZI's Fabian Laudi got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabian Laudi scored 5-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frank Szczepanowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Frank Szczepanowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tolek Bochinski's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Frank Szczepanowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zlatan Kühlert, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 95th minute, Fabian Laudi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
