The supporters of Kidderminster booed when FC Asseln was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lou Evertz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Sebastian Holzenkamp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Peppo Wöhrl was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Özcan Zapf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Asseln's Peppo Wöhrl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulf Kliesch in the 24th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Holzenkamp in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peppo Wöhrl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th minute Sebastian Holzenkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peppo Wöhrl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute Kidderminster were awarded a corner. Özcan Zapf went to the cornerflag to take it. Özcan Zapf made a great header on Kidderminster's corner, it was just that FC Asseln's Peppo Wöhrl managed to reach the ball for a save. 31 minutes into the match, Sebastian Holzenkamp notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC Asseln's Peppo Wöhrl. Peppo Wöhrl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Peppo Wöhrl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sammy Baum in the 37th minute of play. Peppo Wöhrl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achim Gross, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. When Sammy Baum came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Kidderminster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sammy Baum couldn't finish the play. The FC Asseln players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kidderminster were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lou Evertz made a kick off. Özcan Zapf struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Peppo Wöhrl came out of the goal and Sebastian Holzenkamp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th match minute, FC Asseln was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Klein to maneuver through the defense. Özcan Zapf was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 60th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Holzenkamp in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peppo Wöhrl saved FC Asseln from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Sebastian Holzenkamp kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Peppo Wöhrl. That made the score 0-3 in the 64 minute of play. In the 67th minute, Christian Klein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Holzenkamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peppo Wöhrl having to interfere. When Kidderminster's Sebastian Holzenkamp in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Sebastian Holzenkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Sebastian Holzenkamp notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of FC Asseln's Peppo Wöhrl. Peppo Wöhrl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kidderminster's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
