Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Guido Maeth kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd match minute, Palenberg FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nick Pahl to maneuver through the defense. Palenberg FC's Hansjörg Lade got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 9th minute of the match Erko Schneider shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johann Halm showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bart Kircher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Johann Halm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bart Kircher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Palenberg FC's Arndt Wiechmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Palenberg FC from getting a goal against them. Emanuel Pamatat might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arndt Wiechmann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuel Pamatat ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 31st minute, Nick Pahl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Hahnenbambel's Malik Kettler got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 37th minute of the match Fox Ulrich shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johann Halm showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bart Kircher in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johann Halm prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Palenberg FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Guido Maeth 40 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 47th minute Ashley Zentgraf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johann Halm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bart Kircher made the kick off in the second half. If Guido Maeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bart Kircher in the 55th minute of play forced FC Hahnenbambel's goalkeeper Johann Halm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nick Pahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nick Pahl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Johann Halm made a huge save. Bart Kircher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johann Halm having to interfere. Stuart Grasser was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 67 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the game, one of FC Hahnenbambel:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 73rd minute, Nick Pahl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Johann Halm made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Nick Pahl sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Johann Halm successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 81 minutes, Emanuel Pamatat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Hahnenbambel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Pamatat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bart Kircher got free with Johann Halm in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nick Pahl struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Johann Halm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palenberg FC. In the 92nd minute, Palenberg FC got a penalty, and Fox Ulrich placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Emanuel Pamatat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arndt Wiechmann having to interfere. Emanuel Pamatat took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arndt Wiechmann. Arndt Wiechmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
