When Arthur Salecker fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pietenfeld's protests and gave Arthur Salecker a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes Pietenfeld got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Salecker. In the 19th minute, Attila Knöchel made a precise shot to the right of Erik Köpsel. Pietenfeld's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Fabian Maislinger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Nordhaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lautzert FSV's goalkeeper Fabian Maislinger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 45th minute, one of Pietenfeld:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pietenfeld. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

51 minutes into the match, Pietenfeld's goal looked a bit too open when Georg Zierer came free, but Erik Köpsel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Walther Keilbach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erik Köpsel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Reiners in the 55th minute of play. Attila Knöchel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Erik Köpsel made a huge save. If Frederico Reiners had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pietenfeld's Erik Köpsel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Pietenfeld from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valérien Dörmann in the 69th minute of play forced Lautzert FSV's goalkeeper Fabian Maislinger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
