Conrad Misenta might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benedikt Steffel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Conrad Misenta ran back to his position shaking his head. After 35 played minutes Longfield FSV got a freekick which was hit by Adonis Kapke. Alfred Reim was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 37th minute Michael Löbe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Kleinböck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Löbe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sönke Been charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sönke Been the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Longfield FSV's Sönke Been got a free kick in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michael Löbe to strike the kick off in the second half. Benedikt Steffel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fjodor Nathz in the 53rd minute of the match. Michael Löbe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 71 minutes into the game, Michael Löbe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of David Kleinböck. Michael Löbe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Dario Retzer's late challenge caught a Longfield FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dario Retzer helped the player get up and apologised. Wolfsburg's Fjodor Nathz got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Conrad Misenta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolfsburg's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrad Misenta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedikt Steffel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Fjodor Nathz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute.
