The BFC Dynamo fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when BFC Dynamo's Balduin Burke looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Lennard Tebje made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jochen Hartl in the 13th minute of play. Andrej Hübener showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balduin Burke, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Balduin Burke might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrej Hübener. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Balduin Burke ran back to his position shaking his head. Andrej Hübener showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balduin Burke, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. If Heimito Hermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jochen Hartl during the 32nd minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Balduin Burke managed to get in a good position for a shot. BFC Dynamo's supporters rose to their feet, but Balduin Burke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrej Hübener breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jochen Hartl to make the kick off. FC Bayern's Andrej Hübener proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save FC Bayern from getting a goal against them. 57 minutes into the match, FC Bayern's goalkeeper Andrej Hübener had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Balduin Burke. Hannes Ablass's late challenge caught a FC Bayern's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hannes Ablass helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, BFC Dynamo's Hannes Ablass got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Benny Knispel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Andrej Hübener tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 69 minutes of play, BFC Dynamo's Hannes Ablass made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrej Hübener was left in no man's land by his defense there! Balduin Burke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Andrej Hübener managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when BFC Dynamo's Balduin Burke fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 83 minutes into the match, BFC Dynamo's goal looked a bit too open when Jochen Hartl came free, but Lennard Tebje reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Predrag Kotthaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute BFC Dynamo were awarded a corner. Xaver Schmeltzer went to the cornerflag to take it. Benny Knispel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute Benny Knispel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrej Hübener saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BFC Dynamo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
