Spectators: 7280 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Peter Mai started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Merten got a freekick which was hit by Tim Radziej. Otto Erkeling's late challenge caught a Osnabrückpool's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Otto Erkeling helped the player get up and apologised. After 8 played minutes Merten got a freekick which was hit by Otto Erkeling. In the 11th minute, Felix Wörmann fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nathan Brenner, passed just outside the right post. Peter Mai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Pomp having to interfere. Karl Detzler who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Nathan Brenner when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Merten's Peter Mai got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tim Radziej sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Osnabrückpool's goalkeeper Benjamin Pomp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felix Wörmann made a kick off. Peter Mai might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin Pomp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peter Mai ran back to his position shaking his head. Peter Mai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Benjamin Pomp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osnabrückpool's Karl Detzler got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felix Wörmann struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Nathan Brenner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Osnabrückpool. Nathan Brenner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Wörmann in the 61st minute of play. After 65 played minutes Osnabrückpool got a freekick which was hit by Hendrik Hofstee. In the 74th minute, Okke Stern hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Osnabrückpool booed when Merten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hartwig Glenz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Wörmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Nathan Brenner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Osnabrückpool! Benjamin Pomp had in the 90thth minute some difficulties stopping Gil Schache's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Benjamin Pomp made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Tim Radziej sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Mai in the 95th minute of play forced Osnabrückpool's goalkeeper Benjamin Pomp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim Radziej struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Benjamin Pomp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merten. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
