Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Adi Schön started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Buccaneers's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Wolfgang Retzer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Grill in the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Guido Grill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolfgang Retzer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Bechthold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolfgang Retzer having to interfere. Schenkelberg's Guido Grill got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wolfgang Retzer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Bechthold in the 41st minute of play. Guido Grill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolfgang Retzer having to interfere. If Jan Bechthold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guido Grill to make the kick off. When Buccaneers's Oswald Bandmann in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Schenkelberg's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Buccaneers booed when Schenkelberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Grill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolfgang Retzer having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Jan Bechthold had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wolfgang Retzer. Buccaneers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan Bechthold was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Guido Grill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Bechthold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolfgang Retzer having to interfere. In the 74th minute Guido Grill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolfgang Retzer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Männer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswald Bandmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Jan Bechthold got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jan Bechthold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guido Grill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Buccaneers's goalkeeper Wolfgang Retzer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Bechthold. Jan Bechthold recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Guido Grill took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Wolfgang Retzer to make any attempt to save it. Jan Bechtholds short, quick shot in the 98thth minute got Wolfgang Retzer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
