After having played for 8 minutes, Kim Barnett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Retzelfembach FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kim Barnett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Retzelfembach FSV's goalkeeper Jens Keute, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Pierre Block came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the 10x fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pierre Block couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, René Fedde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pierre Block fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens Keute having to interfere. Hanno Raps made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Kim Barnett sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niclas Reiner in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jens Keute prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Niclas Reiner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens Keute having to interfere. A collision led to Retzelfembach FSV getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Amir Nölting hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niclas Reiner in the 29th minute of play forced Retzelfembach FSV's goalkeeper Jens Keute to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Cedric Tetzner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, 10x's goalkeeper Hanno Raps had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kim Barnett. In the 37th match minute, 10x was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claus Kasik to maneuver through the defense. Horst Hunger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Horst Hunger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in 10x's zone, Kim Barnett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hanno Raps came out of the goal and Kim Barnett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cedric Tetzner kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Kim Barnett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67 minutes of play, Retzelfembach FSV's Horst Hunger made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hanno Raps was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jens Alpmann hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Pierre Block's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jens Keute firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 80thth minute of the game Horst Hunger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 10x's Hanno Raps was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Horst Hunger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Retzelfembach FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horst Hunger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the game, Carlos Baader cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Hanno Raps was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Retzelfembach FSV getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Carlos Baader hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the 10x players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Retzelfembach FSV.
