Leopold Dauenhauer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Traugott Sell when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rainer Kremer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Blind, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Traugott Sell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kai Butz in the 30th minute of play. Valérien Imort hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Pitt Hommel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rainer Kremer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pitt Hommel in the 37th minute of the match.
