Adam Schulze-Boysen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Schiller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th minute, Gero Elfring hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Büch FC's zone, Marc Becker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adam Schulze-Boysen came out of the goal and Marc Becker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gero Elfring hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the match, Büch FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Schiller came free, but Adam Schulze-Boysen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Marc Becker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paul Martin scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Detleff Suttner, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th minute, Kurt Rabiega got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute Jan Bopp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Detleff Suttner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adam Schulze-Boysen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Rabiega in the 27th minute of the match. Kurt Rabiega hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Detleff Suttner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paul Martin in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marc Becker in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adam Schulze-Boysen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. APK's Detleff Suttner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gösta Glowacz in the 35th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guido Schiller in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Adam Schulze-Boysen came out of the goal and Spike Rüdiger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Guido Schiller managed to get in a good position for a shot. APK's supporters rose to their feet, but Guido Schiller was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adam Schulze-Boysen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 44 minutes into the game, APK's Kurt Rabiega nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adam Schulze-Boysen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gösta Glowacz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guido Schiller in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adam Schulze-Boysen saved Büch FC from getting behind. The corner led APK's Sonny Scherf to fire away a dangerous shot which Adam Schulze-Boysen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Victor Steppkes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. APK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Büch FC the free kick. Detleff Suttner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Martin in the 62nd minute of play. Rudi Ehlers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adam Schulze-Boysen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lysander Terstege during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th minute, Lysander Terstege hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. APK's Marc Becker got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adam Schulze-Boysen was a little too slow when Marc Becker got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 1-2. A collision led to APK getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Viktor Schlotter hit a great ball. Gösta Glowacz took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Detleff Suttner. Detleff Suttner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Guido Schiller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Adam Schulze-Boysen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marc Becker got free with Adam Schulze-Boysen in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Marc Becker came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the APK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marc Becker couldn't finish the play. In the 81st match minute, Büch FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gero Elfring to maneuver through the defense. Adam Schulze-Boysen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Spike Rüdiger went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. The APK fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when APK's Marc Becker looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With his leg Adam Schulze-Boysen managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when APK's Guido Schiller fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gösta Glowacz in the 93rd minute of play forced APK's goalkeeper Detleff Suttner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marc Becker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Büch FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. APK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
