Damien Furthmüller charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damien Furthmüller the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sven Lensing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niels Povel having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Lommersum FSV got a freekick which was hit by Benno Kau. After 31 minutes Lommersum FSV's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Amadeus Schilder who took care of the corner kick. Gordon Jürgensen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gordon Jürgensen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Niels Povel came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by NKFV's Engelbert Nürenberg. But to his dismay, Engelbert Nürenberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Sven Lensing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lommersum FSV's Gordon Jürgensen got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Engelbert Nürenberg kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Gordon Jürgensen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jörg Gabler hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Damien Furthmüller hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Gordon Jürgensen took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mayk Grünewald. Mayk Grünewald dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Gordon Jürgensen got in the 75th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Mayk Grünewald handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 80th play minute Engelbert Nürenberg came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Niels Povel. 1-2. Gordon Jürgensen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordon Jürgensen in the 87th minute of play forced NKFV's goalkeeper Mayk Grünewald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, NKFV's Engelbert Nürenberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. The NKFV supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing NKFV would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
